In the school year of 2015/2016 six students from the national and international departments of Danila Kumar Elementary School joined the Kiwanis project. They teamed up and shared ideas as well as experiences with six students from the International School of Carinthia. They spent the project week in Austria at the Wahaha resort. Ideas were exploding!

Kiwanis

The aims of the project were to come up with a project plan designed by children for children.

Our students chose the topic of friendship. They established the Klik Club, a club where friends can meet. They prepared activities and games twice a week and invited students to join them. Their goal was to include all students, to forge new friendships and also to enable socially less outgoing students to come and play.  They became the ambassadors of the project. The number of Klik Club members grew weekly. We can say with certainty that the project was a success.

At the end of the school year, the students form Slovenia and Austria met again. They exchanged experiences, enjoyed a stroll through Ljubljana and also a nice boat ride on the Ljubljanica river. As a sign of growing and strong friendship as well as good cooperation they “Klicked” a lock on the bridge. This could be the beginning of a wonderful new ritual!
