On Tuesday, 23rd April, the school organised a WSC Mini Debate Event for the international & Slovenian pupils. The much anticipated contest consisted of nine well prepared teams (twenty seven students) eagerly awaiting the verbal battles. The fiercely fought competition had three frenetic rounds of intense debating in which students proved themselves to be masterly debaters. After all the results were collected. the winning teams were David Safro, Sasha Chumakov and Siddharth Guru Prasanna (1st), Val Jenko, Nikita Arefyev and Klemen Škorjanc (2nd), Luka Higonet, Polina Kaspranova and Jon Zdovc (3rd). Congartulations to all those who took part!

On Tuesday, 23rd April, The MYP Pupils were given the opportunity to trace the footsteps of the most celebrated Slovene Poet, France Prešeren. The day started in Vrba, the village where Prešeren was born, and the house where he spent the first 7 years of his life. The journey back in time then brought us to Kranj, where we went to the memorial park and viewed the tombstone of Prešeren’s final resting place, some students also recited a few of his most famous verses. The denouement took us to the poet’s former residence in the old town, which is characterised as showing the man as a poet, a lawyer, and as a human being.
