K1 & 2 Easter Workshops

On Friday, the 10th of April, the kindergarten teachers organised some Easter workshops for the K1 and K2 students and parents. The children were involved in various Easter themed outdoor activities, they read stories, and produced some very nice Easter artwork.

Gratefulness Diary

During the MYP Plenary, under the guidance of Ms Maja Majnik, the students were asked to make a dairy about the things they are grateful for everyday, and also, a positive thing, as well as a good deed they performed. Take a look at one example.

A Message about Projected Grades

Dear parents,

The MYP parents will get their projected grades in a slightly different form this year, based on formative assessment, by this Friday, 17 April.

Our online learning process is being constantly reviewed, assessed, and enhanced, in order to support student understanding and development. Our teachers are available via e-mail, OneNote and Teams video conferencing to answer all the burning questions our students may have.

We continually try to scaffold the students who have organisational problems with regular reminders to catch up with work, and, if necessary, messages to their parents.

It is our goal to help and support each other and strive to be efficient, grow and learn from these circumstances.

The list below might give your child some food for thought.

Take care!

Kind regards,

Irena Šteblaj

5M – Challenge of Inquiry

This year the challenge of inquiry was conducted a bit differently compared with years past. The work was done individually and the students and teachers collaborated over the internet.

5M´s challenge was understanding the migration of people by researching the migration of their families. All the pupils received a research questionnaire which each student, with the help of their families, answered. From the collected data the students learnt how often, where and why the families of 5M migrated.
