On Tuesday the 14th of March, Grade 5 students had a Cultural Day in the International Centre for Graphic Arts in Tivoli Park. They had a demonstration of the silk printing graphic technique, a guided tour of the Fanzines exhibition and a workshop where they created their own fanzines. The weather was gorgeous, so we spent the last part of the day outside in the sun, and reflected of our field trip. An excellent day!

On Thursday, 9th of March, students from grades 5-8 and 33 students from the national department joined with our friends from Zagreb to visit Krapina, a renowned pre-historic site that is the home of the Krapina pre-historic man. We visited the pre-historic museum, a gallery, had a great meal at a wonderful restaurant and spent time with our friends from abroad.

On Tuesday, March 7th, grade 1 students and members of the Crafts around the world club participated in the opening ceremony of the Likfest exhibition. The headmistress Mrs Mihelic and the head of the department Mrs Steblaj, attended the ceremony too.

The second part of the season is approaching. That is why we will have football training on Friday also. We start this Friday, 10th March at 15.30 – 17.00. Training is optional.

On Thursday the 9th of March, the school will start a new extracurricular activity – Drums. However, we won’t be playing with conventional drums, we will be using general household items such as tins, buckets and whatever else we can get our hands on. We hope to prepare a performance for the month of May. For all those interested please come to room 373 at 4 pm on Thursday. International students will start the following Thursday.
