7I – Whale Rider Concepts

During English online lessons, the students in 7I have been reading The Whale Rider and summarising the chapters in different ways. They were drawing, making sketch notes, creating story wheels, drawing comics and writing haikus. They have also written their own creation myths. These are some of their best works.

4M

The Students of 4m have been learning how to create a logo or symbol. Their task was to create a symbol of school, a class or school activity. The pupils had to create their own stamp of the symbol and print it. It seems they had a lot of fun!

5M

The students of 5m have learnt how to draw our nearest human relatives in the guise of pre-historic Art.

6M

The 6m students discovered the postmodern art movement, which started to raise the awareness of nature appreciation and preservation in the 1960s and 1970s. Take a look at their land art sculptures.

8M & I

The students of the 8th grade researched contemporary fine arts. Their topic was Political Problems of the Here and Now. Their work is the foundation for the development of animated pieces.

1M Cultural Day

This Monday, the 1m students spent their cultural day focusing on creating different texts – their own fairy tales, recipes, shopping lists, postcards… Then they had some fun creating characters and settings for their texts, made from natural resources. They proved to be very creative and innovative.
