1M Sports Day

The students of 1M had a sports day on December 5th, 2019. The students took part in a day full of fun and academic activities. They started the day learning about health and how to find their heartbeat. Throughout the day the pupils were involved in activities that got their heartbeat going, like skipping, running games and playing catcher.  The students checked their heartbeat after each activity and documented their results. Then they ended the day with some yoga, which calmed the students’ bodies as well as their heartbeats. The pupils enjoyed their day and had a wonderful time taking part in the various activities.

Happy and tired they returned home late in the evening, wishing that we meet again soon. And next time we will visit them!

MYP Cultural Day – Idea

During the last few weeks, each year of the MYP has taken it in turns to visit a  new exhibition of ancient Greek science and technology – Idea, at Cankerjev dom. The pupils were guided through the exhibition, which seeks to highlight the architecture, construction technology, mathematics, geometry, music, mechanics and telecommunications of the period – with the Archimedean solids and the Pythagorean theorem, Archimedes’ screw, and the hydraulic telegraph to name but a few. The students, as well as accompanying teachers, found the exhibition fascinating and enlightening.
