On Friday the 20th September, the MYP pupils spent their English lessons outside reading books in different languages as part of Library under the trees. This project encourages students to read more, especially outside, which is beneficial for them in many ways. The students enjoyed the lesson in the warm sun very much.

On Thursday, September 19, students from 3m, 4m and 5m had a cultural day. They began their day by participating in different activities in school, including music and drama. Afterwards we went to see a ballet performance “Peter and the Wolf” at the Ljubljana Opera house. The students enjoyed it very much.

On Tuesday, 17th September, the students of the Slovene and international departments took part in the European week of mobility and danced on Kongresni trg during the dance event organised by Kazina dance studio. They enjoyed it very much!

As part of the mobility week activities both PYP and MYP students enjoyed dance workshops organised by the Dance studio, Kazina. The project is called Živim ples. Some of the students will also take part in the dance event on Kongresni trg on 17th September where students from all over Slovenia will dance to the same choreography.

This afternoon the annual Social Event took place at the school, which is organised to welcome, not only new families to the community, but also returning ones for the new school year. As in previous years, there were many fun sporting activities on offer outside in the playground, dance available inside in the dining room, singing with Ms Tina, playing the guitar under the trees, as well as handicrafts. This was all accompanied by locally produced refreshments, and an equally delightful atmosphere.
