WSC – Beijing

Today we went to the Great Wall of China which was luckily not crowded so we could really enjoy the views. Our trip included a ride with a chairlift to the top of the hill where the wall is located, walking up and down very steep stairs and lastly going on an adventurous ride down a slide. Later, we drove to the Summer Palace which is a beautiful landscape collection of pavilions, temples and gardens. We were impressed by the amazing architecture and the beauty of the whole area. Tomorrow, we will spend the day getting ready for the competition by debating and writing essays.

Today we set out to visit the Temple of Heaven and the Natural History Museum of Beijing. Later, we also went to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. We saw many beautiful buildings and parks as well as learnt a lot about the history of China.

WSC – Beijing

On Sunday, 16th June, students, teachers and parents embarked on a journey to Beijing, China, to take part in the World Scholar’s Cup Global Round. After a long flight, we finally arrived at our hostel and had dinner in a lovely restaurant with delicious Chinese food. We are all a bit tired but ready to explore Beijing in the following days.
