On Thursday, June 3rd, MYP students will go hiking to a pleasant and easily accessible hill above the city of Kamnik. We will take the bus from school to the foot of the mountain and start our ascend from Strahovica, where a wide macadam road leads us towards St Primož. The climb is easy, and it is approximately a 1 hour and 10 minutes walk to reach the top of the hill and some 50 minutes back. On the top stands the old church of St Primus and Felician, built in the 12th century and rebuilt to its present appearance in the 15th and 16th centuries. It is decorated with well-preserved medieval murals.
Students need to take an extra T-shirt, a water bottle, proper hiking shoes, sports clothes, and a wind stopper jacket.
